The Portalupi tasting room is a beautiful and unique expression of warehouse styling with a contemporary urban feel, located in the heart of downtown Healdsburg.
Portalupi offers a private event space, the Candela Room, named after the striking candle wall that embraces a cozy, wine cellar ambiance.
We invite you to use this space for private events such as: wedding celebrations, networking, Portalupi winemaker dinners, or a new take on the business meeting. We will do everything to make your event a memorable celebration.
We understand that a small gathering can often evolve into a bigger event so we also offer the option to rent out our entire tasting room to accommodate your celebration. Please contact us for information on renting the entire tasting room.
Candela Room, The Details:
What’s included: 3- 6.5 feet handcrafted Redwood tables that can be set up as one long table or broken up as needed | 24 chairs | Wine and water glasses | Music: Spotify playlists to choose from or bring your own. (We can also offer an extra space that is next to the Candela room. This area seats 10 and/or can be used for a reception area)
Minimum Wine Purchase: For use of the Candela room for a private event or meeting, a minimum wine purchase for 1-10 guests of 1 case (12 bottles, $450 minimum) for 10 plus guests, 2 cases, 24 bottles, $900 minimum. Wine left over from your purchase is yours to take home.
Candela Room, Rental Fee:
Monday through Sunday, from 11 to 6:00: $75/hour. After 6:00, $125/hour with staffing fees.
Business Meetings: Minimum 2 hours. $100/hour. Wine tasting, Food and Wine pairings or catering options are available for your event. After 6:00 staffing fees apply.
Candela Room Capacity: 20 sit down or reception.
Food and Wine Pairings: Enjoy a Food and Wine pairing for up to 20 guests, presented by the owners or our wine educators. We feature 4 wines perfectly paired with local artisan cheeses and hand cured salumi, $25 per person. No rental fee required.
Catering: We work closely with Baci Restaurant and Local Renowned Chef Matt Paille of Epicurean Escape Catering. We offer everything from a box lunch, buffet, to a 5 course meal with the winemaker. We will work with you to make your experience memorable. Menus are available upon request.
Advance reservations required. ($100 deposit is required, non-refundable if cancellation is within 72 hours.)

Wine Club members usage of the Candella room is complimentary every day, from 11 to 6:00: After 6:00, $75/hour with staffing fees.
Food and Wine Pairings: Enjoy a Food and Wine pairing for up to 20 guests, presented by the owners or our wine educators. We feature 4 wines perfectly paired with local artisan cheeses and hand cured salumii. Members receive 4 complimentary Food and Wine Pairings, additional guests are $20/person.
For Rental of the Entire Tasting Room:
Minimum Wine Purchase: 24 bottles, $900 minimum. Wine left over from your purchase is yours to take home.
Capacity: 30-32 sit down, 55 reception To close our Tasting Room during normal business hours, 11-6:00, the following fees apply:
Monday through Thursday: $400/hour, minimum 3 hours (includes ½ hour prior to set up and ½ hour to clear)
Friday or Sunday: $500/hour, minimum 3 hours (includes ½ hour prior to set up and ½ hour to clear)
Saturday: $750/hour, minimum 3 hours, (includes ½ hour prior to set up and ½ hour to clean included for no fee) Staffing fees apply, $20/hour, per employee. Wine Club Members: 15% discount on rates.
Pricing, After Hours:
If you would like to hold an event outside of our normal business hours (11am-6pm): $200/hour, plus required staffing fee $20/hour, per employee. ($125/hour for Wine Club Members.)
