GOLD Medal Winner, 2015 Pinot Noir Summit.
The Russell Family Vineyards are located in Paso Robles on the west side of highway 101. This area of limited water, shallow, rugged, rocky, calcareous soil produces some of the finest wines in California. It is common during the growing season for the temperature on the west side to drop from 90 degrees at 3:00 in the afternoon, to 65 degrees by 6:00 PM, and then to 40 degrees at night.
2013 Harvest provided small and delicate berries that were packed with complex flavors. A high ratio of skin over juice contact resulted in a wine that is deep in color with great structure, making this wine a candidate for aging. Enjoy the complex yet subtle touches of full luscious dark berry, nutmeg, mocha, roasted coffee and licorice. Drink now through 2022.
